I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska without a lot of exposure to the film industry. There weren't many around me that were interested in unconventional fields, but I knew I had a passion for creating stories at a very young age. However, I didn't realize it until college that it could actually be a possible career. I started out in journalism thinking I wanted to write stories, and eventually learned a whole different side to the field: video! It felt like a passion that had always been there naturally rose to the surface, and I knew I had to pursue it. With support from professors and mentors, I was able to switch career goals with confidence. I hope to continue to tell stories I care about and be a voice for those who want to tell theirs as well.
